Mrs. Edna Rose Precise Carr, 83, of 210 Park Ave., passed away Friday, December 10, 2021, at Sampson Regional Medical Center.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm Thursday, December 16, 2021, at The Clinton Family Worship Center with Pastor Lynn Blackburn officiating. Burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery.
Born on July 15, 1938, in Duplin County, Edna was the daughter of the late Edward James and Rosa Hinnant Precise and the widow of Donald Raeford Carr. She was a member of Clinton Family Worship Center and attended as long as she was healthy enough. She was a hard-working lady and a go-getter which led her to her passion for owning and operating Edna’s Florist for fifty-one years. She started her business in the living room of her home and with determination and the will to succeed, she kept growing, having a shop on Beaman Street in Clinton, and eventually moved to a location on McKoy Street until her retirement in 2019. She loved everyone she met and strived to make every occasion special, whether it be a birthday, wedding, or funeral. Edna was loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
Edna is survived by three daughters: Carolyn Carr Parker of Garland, Elizabeth Carr of Dunn, and Lisa Carr Davis of Clinton; son, Larry Carr of Ladson, SC; eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; two sisters: Hazel Tyndall of Clinton and Susie McGee Stone of Clinton.
In addition to her parents and husband Donald, Edna was preceded in death by a son, Frankie Carr, and a daughter, Peggy Jean Carr.
The family will receive friends one hour before the funeral beginning at 1:00 PM in the church Sanctuary, and other times at her home.
Royal-Hall is honored to serve the Carr family.
