Mrs. Edna Long Boykin, 94 of 114 Erik Drive, passed away at Genesis Health & Rehabilitation Center in Mt. Olive Sunday, April 24, 2022.
Born on July 8, 1927 in Sampson County, Edna was the daughter of the late John Kelly and Mary Elizabeth Hudson Long and widow to William Jesse Boykin. She was hardworking, loving wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed every moment she could spend with her family. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her – because to know her was to love her.
She is survived by: Daughters: Betty B. Crews of Dudley and Clair B. Bordeaux of Garland; Son, J.W. Boykin of Mt. Olive; Brother, Wilbert Long of Warsaw; Fourteen Grandchildren, Twenty-Eight Great-Grandchildren and Twelve Great-Great Grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by Son, Ray Boykin; Daughters: Lessie Bordeaux, Emma Jean Bordeaux; Sisters: Dorothy Squires and Mary Catherine Ezzell; Brothers: Jack, Billy and Frank Long.
