Mr. Douglas Wayne Warren 87, of 180 Southwood Dr. died at Southwood Nursing Center Thursday, September 7, 2023.
Funeral services will be Sunday, September 10, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Royal-Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Ray Ammons officiating. A Private burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery.
Born in 1936 in Sampson County, Doug was the son of the late Wellie Marson and Joy Augusta Justice Warren and the widower of Faye Spell Warren. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, having been a former chairman, member of the Board of Deacons, and former teacher and member of the Backsliders Sunday School Class. He was a member of the Hiram Lodge #98 AF & AM. and a retired Regional Manager with Investors Heritage Life Ins. Co. He was a member of Coharie Country Club and an avid golfer. The most important thing in Doug’s life was his family, he was a dedicated husband, father, brother, and grandfather.
He is survived by his sons, Robbie Warren of Clinton, Walt Warren, and wife Caroline of Raleigh. Sister, Ann W. Underwood and husband Gene of Clinton. Five grandsons, Mason Tyler Warren (Charlotte Joy), Ridge Harrison Warren, Ethan Daniel Warren, John Page Warren, and Reid Douglas Warren. Great-grandson, Andrew Thomas Warren.
In addition to his parents and wife, Faye, Doug was preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Warren, son, Wayne Warren, and brother, Ronnie Warren.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral beginning at 1:00 at the Funeral Home on Sunday.
