Ms. Connie Gail Jacobs, 75 of 649 Mt. Moriah Church Rd.,(Formerly of Charlotte) passed away Friday, October 20, 2023, at Sampson Regional Medical Center with her sister, Wilda by her side.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, October 24 at 2:00 PM at Clinton Community Church with Rev. Dr. James F. Jacobs, Rev. Wilda Faircloth and Rev. Mark Fields officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Park.
Born in 1948 in Sampson County, Connie was the daughter of the late James Henry Jacobs and Catherine Evelyn Simmons Jacobs. Connie was a member of Central Church of Charlotte, and attended Clinton Community Church when life moved her back to Clinton. Connie never had any children of her own, but her love for children was immeasurable. She spent many years working for Jordan Driving School as a driving instructor and Mecklenburg County School Systems in transportation of special needs children. To know Connie was to love her and she will greatly be missed.
Connie is survived by her sister, Rev. Wilda Faircloth (Ted) of Clinton; two brothers: Rev. Dr. James F. Jacobs (Rev. Carolyn Jacobs) of Chesterfield, VA., and Mr. Conrad Blake Jacobs (Pastor Ella Jacobs) of Lumberton; Nieces and Nephews: Clay Williams (Felicia), Marty Ray Williams (Shannon), Jason Jacobs (Camera), Cristin Barfield (Terry), Nathaniel Jacobs, and Shekinah Jacobs; three great nieces and five great nephews; aunt, Nida Renshaw, and many cousins and countless friends.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday beginning at 1:00 PM and other times at the home of her sister, Wilda Faircloth, 649 Mt. Moriah Church Rd.
In addition to her parents, Connie was preceded in death by her niece, Jessica Jacobs.
