Mr. Clarence “Sterling” Kidd, 94 of Browns Church Rd, passed away at his home on Monday morning, December 14, 2020, with his loving family by his side.
A Graveside service with military honors will be held Thursday, December 17, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Grandview Memorial Park with Rev. Charles Ray Jernigan officiating.
Born on September 27, 1926 in Roanoke Rapids, Sterling was the son of the late Walter Kidd and Mattie Hall Kidd. He was a retired Tech Sergeant in the United States Air Force. He loved his family dearly and was a dedicated husband, supportive and loving father, and sweet grandfather. He was a kind, Godly man and never met a stranger. He will be greatly missed and remembered by his friends and family.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-five years, Miriam Jane Tatum Kidd of the home; three sons: Robert Sterling Kidd and wife, Amanda of Little River, SC, William Lynn Kidd and wife, Debbie of Clinton, David Michael Kidd and wife, Deltra of Clinton; five grandchildren: Tanner Kidd, Jamison Kidd, Wesley Kidd, Mallory Brown and Wesley B. Kidd.
The family will receive friends after the service at the cemetery, while practicing social distancing and wearing a mask.
