Cheryl Ann (Sutton) New

Cheryl Ann Sutton New, 58, passed away on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Sampson Regional Medical Center, with her family by her side. 

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 10th at 11:00 am at the Royal-Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Lynn Blackburn officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be held immediately following the service at the funeral home. 

Born in 1962 in Sampson County, Cheryl was the daughter of Linda Parsons Hyatt and the late Curtis Joel Sutton and a member of Clinton Family Worship Center. She was a CNA with Mary-Gran Nursing Center and an employee with the Sampson County Department of Aging.  She loved helping others and had many friends in the community. 

She is survived by her mother, Linda Hyatt of Clinton; her two daughters: Kristin Jade New and Diane Paige New, both of Clinton; brother, Woody Sutton of Houston, Texas; and her six grandchildren: Samuel, Zoey, Ricky, Gabriel, Ava and Kayla.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her son, Curtis Harold New, sister, Carol Sutton and a brother, Chris Sutton. 

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Royal-Hall Funeral Home to help with her funeral expenses.
