Cathy Ann (Britt) Mills

Mrs. Cathy Ann Britt Mills, 55, of Vanceboro, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 8th, 2023 at CarolinaEast Medical Center in New Bern, NC. 

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at 3:00 PM at Royal-Hall Funeral Home Chapel, 301 McKoy St. Clinton, NC, with Rev. Larry Barnhill officiating. Burial will follow in the Spell-Tyndall Cemetery. 

Cathy was born on April 7th, 1968 in Craven County to Harry Britt Jr. and the late Linda Gray Spell Britt. She worked for the Craven County Schools Board of Education for 11 years before deciding to become a stay-at-home mom; her favorite job. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and celebrating the holidays with her family. Cathy was an incredible wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be deeply missed. 

Cathy is survived by her husband of 30 years, Kenneth E. Mills; daughter, Taylor Anne Sparapani and husband Joseph of Vanceboro; granddaughter, Layla Gray Sparapani of Vanceboro; father, Harry Britt, Jr. of New Bern; brother, Larry Thomas Britt of New Bern.  

Visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the services beginning at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, April 12,  in the Chapel of Royal-Hall Funeral Home. 

The family would like to thank the staff at both Craven County Hospice and CarolinaEast Medical Center for their caring support during Cathy’s journey with cancer.
