Mrs.  Carol Stephenson Jackson, 72, of 12226 Dunn Road, passed away at SECU Hospice Center in Smithfield, Friday, February 16, 2024. 

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Harnett Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Elder Brant Blackburn and Rev. Steve Spearing officiating. 

Born in 1952 in Johnston County, Carol was the daughter of the late Leo and Mary Eloise Stewart Stephenson. Prior to retirement, she worked at Belk Department Stores as the Lancome Cosmetics Manager. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who was greatly loved and cherished by her family. She will be forever missed.

She is survived by her husband, Gary Jackson. One son, Chris Beasley of Smithfield. Four daughters, Caroline Maness (Rick) of Wendell, Penny Cook (Gene) of Four Oaks, Wendy Johnson (Scott) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Angel Barefoot of Clinton.  Two step-sons, Bradley Jackson (Melanie) of Autryville and Martin Jackson of Autryville. Two sisters, Dianne Stephenson Lane of Smithfield and Donna Snyder (Duane) of Newton Grove. Brother, Larry Stephenson (Karen) of Goldsboro. Eighteen grandchildren, two Great-grandchildren 

The family will receive friends following the service in the Church Fellowship Hall and other times at her home.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Carol's memory to Harnett Primitive Baptist Church in c/o Ronald Jackson 128 Gordon Rd., Clinton, NC. 28328.
