Mr. Carlas Ray West, 78, of Clinton Rd. Fayetteville, NC., went to be with his Lord and Savior, Friday, May 20, 2022, at Rex Hospital in Raleigh, NC. surrounded by family and friends.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, May 25, at 11:00 AM. at White Oak Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the graveside service.
Born in 1943 in Sampson County, Ray was the son of the late Carl and Jennie Broome West. He was drafted into the United States Army and was a true patriot. Ray was a member of White Oak Baptist Church in Clinton and attended Pleasant Grove of Vander and Northwood Temple of Fayetteville. Ray owned and operated Vander Auto Parts in Vander, NC., and loved helping people with their auto needs. To know Ray was to love him, and he will be greatly missed.
Ray is survived by his sister, Christine West Simmons of Clinton, nieces, and nephews, and friends.
In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his two brothers: H.C. West and Kenneth West.
