Beverly Vines Huff

Beverly Vines Huff, born on October 11th, 1943, passed away peacefully with her family at her bedside on March 20th, 2022.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Royal Hall Funeral Home Chapel in Clinton, NC, on Wednesday, March 23rd, at 2:00pm and officiated by Dr. Ray Ammons. Visitation for family and friends will be held immediately following the service at the funeral home. 

Born in Franklin, Tennessee on October 11, 1943, Beverly was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil and Mary Vines. She was raised in Franklin and married her high school sweetheart at age seventeen, James William Huff, just two weeks after her graduation. She followed him to Auburn, Alabama, where he was in school and they started their family, and then to Raleigh where he completed his education at NC State University. His first job took them to Asheville, and then later to Winston-Salem, where they continued to raise their three children. They were active members of the Church of Christ throughout North Carolina and Tennessee. Beverly lost her husband to an accident at the age of forty. She relocated to the Raleigh area, where she was reunited with old friends and worked in retail. She had a love of antiques and English horseback riding. After relocating to Smithfield, Ms. Huff enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She had a special relationship with each of her five grandchildren whom she loved dearly, and they loved her in return.

Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, James William Huff, Jr., and her eldest child, Jaymi Melissa Huff. She is survived by her children, William Alexander Huff and wife, Lori, of Clinton, and her son, Jonathan Patrick Huff and wife, Wendy, of Clayton, and her five grandchildren: Patrick, Lauren (Robert), Anna, William, and Joseph. She is also survived by her sister, Brenda Richens, of Wesley Chapel, Florida, and her brother, Bobby (Becca) Vines, of Cotacachi, Ecuador. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her, because to know her, was to love her.
