Ms. Betty Lou Barnette, 76 of 310-B Lisbon St., went to be with Her Lord and Savior Thursday, August, 12th, 2021 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro, NC.

Services will be announced as soon as possible.

Born on August 16, 1944 in Duplin County, Betty Lou was the daughter of the late Johnny and Mary Frances Coustin Barnette. She spent many years working at Carolina Packers and Smithfield Packing Plant and was a member of Christian Chapel House of Lord. She loved life and and her family and will be greatly missed.

Betty Lou is survived by her close friend, Holly McMillen of Clinton and her two cousins: John Henry Creech and wife, Irene of Elizabethtown and Thomas Smith and wife, Ruth of Beulaville and several neices and nephews. Last but not least, she leaves behind her beloved dog, Baby.

In addition to her parents Betty Lou was preceded in death by her sister, Kay Barnette and brother, Maurice Barnette.
