Andrea Alcorta Sanchez

Mrs. Andrea Alcorta Sanchez, passed away late Tuesday evening, April 19, 2022 with her loving family surrounding her. She entered the gates of heaven with her body healed of cancer, just shy of turning fifty-three years old.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 23rd at Clinton Family Worship Center at 11:00 am with Pastor Lynn Blackburn and Rev. Leonard Henry officiating. Burial will follow at Clinton Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday evening, April 22nd, from 6-8 pm at Royal-Hall Funeral Home; and other times at the home of Randy Chappell, located at 188 Old Pete Quinn Rd., Warsaw, NC.

Born on April 30, 1969 in Ohio, Andrea was the daughter of the late Tomasa Puentes and Abraham Alcorta. She was one of twelve children and always the “light” of the room. She was gifted in so many ways, and used her voice to touch others by singing the gospel and helped lead souls to Christ. She touched hearts and always gave praise to “Him” for her talent. What she was most thankful for was her family, especially her husband and children. Andrea was a dedicated member of Clinton Family Worship Center where she was a member of the Worship Team. She was the manager of her own gospel band, the “Alcorta Family Band”. She also loved to travel and go camping as much as possible.  Although she was diagnosed with cancer and fought so hard to stay here for her family, she never once gave up. Her light will always shine in all of us.

She is survived by her husband, David Sanchez of the home; her three sons: Jovan, Jordan and Julian Sanchez; Sisters: Dora Medina; Anna Alcorta, Adela Bautista,  Kelly Martinez, Margaret Alcorta, Linda Soria, Alexsandra Alcorta; Brothers: Joe Alcorta, Al Alcorta and Arnold Alcorta; grandson, Joseph Sanchez; granddaughter, Joleen Sanchez; numerous nieces and nephews; and her close family friend and band member, Randy Chappell.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Alma Rosa.
