Willie Vale Hobbs

Mr. Willie V. Hobbs, 71, of 102 Wilson Street, passed away on Wednesday morning, June 6, 2018 at home. 

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 8, 2018 at 2pm at Grove Park Baptist Church with Dr. Gary Threatt officiating. Burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery.

Born on June 8, 1946 in Sampson County, Willie was the son of the late Jack Gibson and Vennie Bass Hobbs and a member of Grove Park Baptist Church.   Willie was a long-time former employee with Fussell’s Restaurant & Steakhouse and a current employee with Oasis Oyster Bar & Grill, where he began working in 2003. He always had a smile on his face, enjoying the company of his customers and friends. 

He is survived by his sister, Paulette H. Mintz and husband, Kim of Clinton and several aunts, uncles and cousins. 

The family will receive friends at the home of his sister, Paulette Mintz, 102 Wilson Street, Clinton.
