Mr. William “Hubert” Weeks, 86, of 301 Graham Street, Clinton, passed away peacefully on Friday morning, August 11, 2017 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, August 13, 2017 at 3:00 pm in the Sanctuary of First Baptist Church, 408 College St., Clinton with Dr. Ray Ammons officiating. Burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery.

Born on October 12, 1930 in Sampson County, Hubert was the son of the late Mary Gilbert and Harvey Weeks.  He was a Veteran of the United States Army, having served in the Korean War and the former owner-operator of Weeks Wholesale.  He was a former member of Hiram Lodge #98 AM&FM, former member of Clinton Lions Club and longtime member of First Baptist Church.  Mr. Hubert was a jokester, loved sitting on the porch listening to music and loved nothing more than making his friends and family smile.  He was a loving man, with a compassionate heart, and willing to offer help to anyone in need.  Above all else, he adored his family. He was respected and loved by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his precious wife of almost 67 years, Grace McCullen Weeks; two sons: William “Cullen” Weeks and his wife, Alicia of Garner and Henry Todd Weeks of Charlotte.  He was also blessed with three granddaughters: Maegan Coleen Weeks, Taylor Grace Weeks and Carley Rose Weeks and a great-granddaughter, Fallon Hope Weeks.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Keefe Wendell Weeks; his sisters: Annie Lou Howard and Mildred Bryant and his brothers: James, David and Bernard Weeks.

Visitation with family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service on Sunday afternoon, in the church sanctuary, beginning at 2:00 pm; and other times at his home.

The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. John Smith and his entire staff, as well as the staff at Liberty Hospice.

Royal-Hall is honored to serve the Weeks Family.
