Mrs. Ruby Lee Nunnery, 92, formerly of Clinton, passed away on July 4th 2018 at Harnett Woods Nursing & Rehab Center in Dunn.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 8 at 2pm in the Sanctuary at First Baptist Church with Dr. Ray Ammons officiating. Burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery.
Born on July 24, 1925 in Sampson County, Ruby was the daughter of the late James L. and Luberta Bass Lee. She was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting and loved to dance, and especially loved spending time with her family. She had a zest for life and great personality and a smile that would light up a room. She will be greatly missed.
Mrs. Ruby is survived by her son, Walter “Teddy” Nunnery and wife, Kathy of Linden; her daughter, Helen N. Eshelman of Mt. Joy, Pennsylvania; four sisters: Lucille Franklin of Brooksville, Florida; Peggy Hairr of Clinton, Dixie Lee of Apex, Ann Robinson of Clinton; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters: Alva McDuffie, Ramona Blackburn, Virginia Howard; and her brothers: James, Roy and Earl Lee.
The family will receive friends on Saturday evening, from 6-8 pm at Royal-Hall Funeral Home; and other times at the home of her sister, Ann Robinson, located at 300 Blount Street, Clinton.
