Born on July 9, 1926 in Sampson County, Rosie was the daughter of the late William Blackman & Hepsie Mitchell Hairr and widow to John Henry Boone.  Rosie worked with Hamilton Beach for many years, was a member of Woodman of the World and a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter Catherine B. Peterson & husband, Haywood of Clinton; her granddaughter, Crystal Peterson White & husband, Adam of Clinton; two great-granddaughters: Callie Rae White and Lilyanne Rose White; and a special nephew, Charles W. In addition to her parents and husband, Rosie was predeceased by her brother, Wesley Earl Hairr; her son, John Wilbert Boone and several other brothers, sisters and extended family members.

Visitation for family and friends was held one hour prior to the service, beginning at 3:00 pm, in the Church Fellowship Hall, and other times at her home.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Mrs. Rosie’s special friends and caregivers for the love and kindness shown to her.
