Raymond "Wade" Barefoot

Mr. Raymond "Wade" Barefoot, 73, formerly of Clinton, passed away at Prodigy Transitional Rehab in Tarboro on Sunday, March 19, 2017. 

Born on February 12, 1944 in Sampson County, Wade was the son of the late George Matthew and Maybell McClenny Barefoot.  He was a retired construction contractor. He  loved to fish, hunt and watch Westerns.

 Wade is survived by his three daughters: Deborah B. Harrell & husband James of Rocky Mount; Gina Jenkins & husband, Michael of Rocky Mount; Linda B. Allen & husband, Danny of Long Beach, Mississippi; and a brother, Paul Barefoot of Stewart, Virginia. He also had eight grandchildren: Brian Taylor; Christopher, Richard & Brittany Barefoot; Amanda Harrell; Johnathan Jenkins; and Morgan & Jamie Allen.  He also had six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. 

 In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Grace Barefoot; and two sisters: Geraldine Rogerson and Shirley Jones.
