Mr. Otis Hobert Rierson, Jr., 85 of 848 Country Club Rd., passed away with his family by his side Friday, June 1st, 2018 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.
Funeral services will be held Monday June 4th, at 2:00 PM at Salemburg Baptist Church with Rev. John Adams, Pastor Cindy Shelton and Rev. Bryan Strickland officiating. Burial will follow in Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Salemburg.
Born on April 7th, 1933 in Stokes County, Mr. Rierson was the son of the late Otis Hobert Rierson, Sr. and Thelma Kallam Rierson. He attended Salemburg Baptist Church and was a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and retired Banker with First Citizens Bank in Greensboro. He loved his grandchildren, the beach and his Carolina Tar Heels.
He is survived by his wife Judy J. Rierson; step-daughter, Olivia Bullard and husband Jason of Roseboro. Two step-grandchildren; Jaycie and Mason Bullard.
The family will receive friends at Royal-Hall Funeral Home Sunday night from 6 til 8 PM and other times at his home.
