Myrtle Esther (Henderson) Collins

Mrs. Myrtle Esther Collins, 89, of 111 Boykin Drive, Clinton, passed away on Friday morning, December 28, 2018 at Mary Gran Nursing Center. 

A Graveside Service will be held Monday, December 31, 2018 at 2:30 pm at Montlawn Memorial Park, 2911 S. Wilmington St., Raleigh with Rev. Michael Shook officiating.

Mrs. Myrtle was born on March 31, 1929 in Wake County to the late Clarence Melvin and Lou Mitchel Potter Henderson.  She retired from Brown & Williamson and was a member of Grove Park Baptist Church.

She leaves behind a daughter, Dianne LaVoiE of Covington, Virginia; a son, Paul Collins, Jr. of New Jersey; a brother, Thomas “Buck” Henderson and wife, Lazetta of Clinton; a stepson, Clayton Collins of Virginia; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul S. Collins; two sons: Jimmy Collins and Dale Collins; one brother, Melvin Eugene Henderson and her sisters, Lorine Faison and Edna Earl Duffie; and one grandchild, Gary Scott McKeever.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grove Park Baptist Church, 609 NE Blvd, Clinton, NC  28328.
