Mary Love Richbourg Talton

Mary Love Richbourg Talton, 96, previously of 305 Fisher Drive, Clinton, passed away peacefully at the Heritage Assisted Living Facility in Fayetteville early Tuesday morning, January 30, 2018, with members of her loving family by her side. 

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday afternoon, February 3, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the First United Methodist Church of Clinton, NC with Pastor T. R. Miller officiating.  A reception will follow in the Church Fellowship Hall.

Born on November 18, 1921 in Sampson County, Mrs. Talton was the daughter of the late  David James Turlington and Lela Newman Turlington, widow of William S. Richbourg and Lewis Talton.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Clinton.  Mary Love was a loving mother and grandmother and a dedicated public servant. She retired from the Sampson County Health Department after 35 years of service. Mary Love had an extraordinary love of people and of life with an endearing sense of humor that sustained her through some difficult times over the years. She always enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.  

Mrs. Talton is survived by her son William S. Richbourg, his wife Donna; three daughters: Susan Rider, Laura Stillman, Rosalyn Holland and her husband O.C.; four grandchildren: W. Christopher Holland and his wife Erin, Suzannah Holland and her husband Kevin Harris, James Rider, William J. Richbourg, Josh Stillman; and her kind and loving caregiver, Linda Chavis.  

In addition to her parents, and two husbands, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law Harold Rider and two brothers: Elton and Dave James (Jake) Turlington, Jr.

The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service in the Methodist Church Fellowship Hall.
