Mr. Marion “Stanley” Westbrook, 85, of 3355 Tyndall Bridge Rd., passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening, May 17, 2017 at Transitions Hospice Care Center in Raleigh, with his wife by his side.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Freedom Baptist Church, 2099 Tyndall Bridge Rd., Salemburg, with Rev. Paul Honeycutt and Rev. Ray Smith officiating.  Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Park. 

Born on September 4, 1931 in Sampson County, Stanley was the son of the late Joe and Eva Bradshaw Westbrook.  He was the owner of Tarheel Home Improvement Company and a member of Freedom Baptist Church.  He was a hard-working man who loved his family dearly and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Matthews Westbrook of the home; daughter, Cindy Paschall of Raleigh; son, Randy Westbrook & wife, Lisa of Raleigh; stepson, Tony Barbour of Sanford; two brothers: James Westbrook of Garland, Robert Earl Westbrook of Spring Lake; two sisters: Martha Matthews of Whiteville, Sarah Harris of Stedman; and two grandchildren: Tonya Journigan and Steven Journigan.  Stanley spent 85 years in this world having a deep faith in God and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Christine Westbrook; a stepson, Terry Barbour; three brothers: Charles Lee Westbrook, Norman Dennis Westbrook, Joe Westbrook; and a grandson, Eric Westbrook.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday, beginning at 12:30 pm, in the sanctuary of the church; and other times at the home.
