Mr. James Abner Knowles, 78 of 309 W. Elizabeth St. passed away Wednesday, May 1^st, 2019 at his home.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 17^th at 2:00 PM at Red Hill Universalist Church with Rev. Chuck Yancey officiating. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery.

Born on June 16^th, 1940 in Sampson County, Jim was the son of the late James Aubrey and Amber Robinson Knowles. Jim served in the United States National Guard and was a member of Red Hill Universalist Church.

Jim is survived by his two daughters: Kimberly Knowles Judd and husband, Kenneth of Manassas, Va. and Donna Knowles of Woodbridge, VA and their mother, Rhea Nell Knowles; Three grandchildren: Michael, Kennley and Katelyn Judd.

In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by his two sisters: Judy K. Feldbusch and Joyce K. Lawson.

Visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service beginning at 1pm on Friday at the Church.
