Mr. Glynn Durwood Grady, 76, of 7893 Keener Road, passed away on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro with his loving family by his side.
A Funeral Service to celebrate his life will be held at 2 pm on Friday, August 10, 2018 at the Royal-Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Shook officiating. Entombment will follow at Grandview Memorial Park.
Born on February 15, 1942 in Wayne County, Glynn was the son of the late Herman R. and Tessie Holland Grady. He was a member of Rowan Baptist Church and a retired tree surgeon and mechanic. He worked hard all his life and would lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. He loved his family more than anything and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-six years, Rose Marie Hall Grady of the home; a daughter, Michelle G. Hunter and husband, Jeff of Clinton; two sons: Scott Grady and Chris Grady, both of Roseboro; a sister, Linda Massey of Turkey; brothers: Jack Grady of Garner, Pat Grady of Grantham and numerous nieces and nephews. He was also blessed with seven grandchildren: Britni Hunter, Blake Hunter, Shandi Grady, Taylor Grady, Maxx Grady, Mackenzie Grady and Kelsi Grady; and five great-grandchildren: Carlie, Reed, Leighanna, Mackenzie and Brooklyn.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two of his brothers, Monty and Alston Grady.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the entire staff of 3HC and Kitty Askins for their outstanding care and kindness shown to Mr. Grady during his illness.
