Gladys "Nadine" Strickland (Jessup) Lynch

Mrs. Gladys Nadine Jessup Strickland Lynch, 87 of Clinton, formerly of Ruthfordton, N. C.  died Saturday November 24, 2018 at The Gardens of Roseboro.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 PM at Harmony Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Powell and Rev. Randy Lee Burchette officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.

Born in 1930 in Gilford County, Mrs. Lynch was the daughter of the late John Guilford and Bertha Louella Pigram Jessup. She was a member of the Piney Knob Baptist Church and a homemaker. She was the widow of Floyd Odell Strickland and Dalton Lynch.

She is survived by her husband, Yates Curlee Williams. Son, Kenneth Strickland of Elizabethtown. One Sister, Brenda Cockerham of Winston Salem. Special Niece, Carol Burchette and husband, Kenneth of Clinton. Two Brothers, John G. Jessup of Greensboro and Harry Jessup of Las Vegas, NV. Seven Grandchildren; Kimberly Strickland, Greg Strickland, Jason, Diamond, Emerald, Opal and Kenneth Earl.

She was preceded in death by her Son, Earl Strickland. Two Brothers, Ray Hilton Jessup and Jack Jessup.

The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00PM at Harmony Baptist Church and other times at her niece’s home, Carol Burchette, 638 Harmony Church Rd.
