Franklin Thomas Hinson

Mr. Franklin Thomas Hinson, 74, of 628 Brewer Road, passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton.

Born on July 7, 1944 in Sampson County, Franklin was the son of the late John and Betty Jackson Hinson and widower of Vicky Hinson. He was a self-employed Master Plumber all his life and attended Poplar Grove Baptist Church.   

He is survived by his daughter, Teresa Hinson of Faison; a son, John Franklin Hinson and wife, Crystal of Faison; two brothers: James Hinson and wife, Wanda of Turkey and William Hinson and wife, Sue of Clinton.  He also had five grandchildren: Tiffany Hinson Ramsey, Adrian Goodman, Joanna Hinson, Carrington Johnson and Donald Knowles; and three great-grandchildren: Chelsea Ramsey, Landon Ramsey and Jayden Garcia.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three brothers: Henry, Roland and Chester Hinson and both of his sisters: Shirley Hinson and Janie Hall.

A private service will be held by the family at Franklin’s home in Faison at a later date with Rev. Charles Ray Jernigan officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to one’s favorite charity.
