Ernest Eugene "Gene" Ramsey, Jr., 40, of 101 Pickle Shed Lane, Clinton passed away early Saturday morning, May 5, 2018 in Johnston County.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday evening, May 9th 2018 at 6 pm at the Royal-Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Richard Weeks officiating. 

Born on March 28, 1978, Eugene is the son of Ernest Eugene Ramsey, Sr. and Teresa Smith Ramsey. He worked construction and enjoyed being outdoors. He loved motorcycles and four-wheeling, and most recently picked up the hobby of flying drones.  His young life was cut short, but his legacy will live on through his two children, whom he loved more than anything in the world.  He had a loving family, many friends and would do anything for anybody. He will be greatly missed. 

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving wife, Tiffany Hinson Ramsey of the home; his daughter, Chelsea Brianna Ramsey and son, Landon Eugene Ramsey, also of the home; three brothers: Tony Hobbs and fiancée, Heather of Fayetteville; Butch Hobbs and fiancée, Crystal of White Lake; Matthew Ramsey of Michigan; a sister, Natalie Ramsey of Michigan; and his sister-in-law Adrian Goodman of Clinton.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Nolan and Nellie Ramsey and maternal grandparents, Robert and Alleene Smith and a sister-in-law, Tammy Hobbs.  

The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
