Connie Grace (Matthis) Hall

Mrs. Connie Grace Matthis Hall, 78, of 515 Stewart Avenue, Clinton, passed away at Wake Med in Raleigh on Wednesday, August 16, 2017.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 11:00 am at Grandview Memorial Park, 2809 N. US 421 Hwy, Clinton, with Rev. Chuck Yancey officiating.

Born on May 28, 1939 in Sampson County, Connie was the daughter of the late Mary Henry Vann and Willie Neal Matthis and the widow to Marcus Truett Hall. She was a homemaker all her life and a member of Red Hill Universalist Church. She loved to dance and attend Socials at the Moose Lodge. She also enjoyed spending hours doing “seek & find” puzzles and playing cards, especially Rummy. 

Connie is survived by her sons: Mark Hall and wife, Susan of Wake Forest; Ricky Hall and wife, Carol of Hickory; brother, Wilton Matthis of Hamlet; four grandchildren: Lori Beth, Stephanie, Adam and  Katie Hall; and one great-grandson, Parker Hinson.   

The family will receive friends immediately following the service on Saturday at the cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Red Hill Universalist Church, 7031 Taylors Bridge Hwy, Clinton, NC  28328.
