Carol Diane Sutton

Carol Diane Sutton, 52, transitioned from her earthly body to her heavenly body on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice & Life Center in Wilmington. 

Carol was born on July 11, 1964 in Clinton to the late Curtis Sutton and Linda Sutton Hyatt.  She was a graduate of Clinton High School and Sampson Community College.  She lived her life to service others as a volunteer EMT with the Clinton-Sampson Rescue Squad, a Police Officer with the City of Clinton Police Department, a Corrections Officer with the NC Department of Corrections, a licensed massage therapist and an independent insurance agent.  Most importantly, Carol was a loving daughter, sister, Aunt, friend and dedicated servant of God. 

She is survived by her mother, Linda Sutton Hyatt of Clinton; sister, Cheryl New & husband, Jerry New of Clinton; sister-in-law, Lorie Sutton of Roseboro; brother, Woody Sutton of Wilmington; her loving nieces: Kristen New, Emily Sutton, Paige New and Brittney Spell; and her beloved nephew, Aaron Sutton.  She was also blessed with her sweet grand-nephews: Sammy Almendarez, Ricky Martinez & Gabriel Martinez; and her most precious grand-niece, Zoey Almendarez.   Carol was loved by all who knew her and she will be greatly missed. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Curtis Sutton and her brother, Chris Sutton.
