Mrs. Alice “Aileen” Shipp Cobb, 85, passed away on Monday, November 12, 2018.
A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, November 14th at Grandview Memorial Park with Rev. Charles Ray Jernigan officiating.
Born on April 16, 1933 in Sampson County, Aileen was the daughter of the late Elmond Forest and Bessie Hope Shipp. She was a retired Chief X-Ray Technician at Sampson Regional Medical Center. She had a good heart and was known for her kindness to others. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her daughter, Lorrie D. Williams and husband Robert of Clinton; sister, Edna Grey Mitchell of Clinton; brother, Elmond Ray Shipp of St. George, Virginia; eleven grandchildren: Michael David Kratzer, Shannon Svenson, Jay Wilson, Josh Simmons, Amber Dowless, Ethan Simmons, LeTesha Williams, Kimberly Williams, Duwayne Williams, Jerry Williams and Jamie Williams; and several great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by husbands: Jasper Detroit Wynn and Pete Kratzer; her son, Michael Kratzer and a daughter, Beverly Simmons.
A visitation will be held prior to the graveside service on Wednesday, beginning at 1pm, at Royal-Hall Funeral Home.
