Thomas Lee (Tommy) Greene

Thomas Lee “Tommy” Greene, 62, of 710 Mill Creek Church Rd., Roseboro, passed away at home on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 with his family by his side.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday morning, May 5, 2017 at 11:00 am, at the Mill Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Ed Rogers officiating.

Born in 1954 in Sampson County, Tommy was the son of the late Claude and Mary McLemore Greene. He was a Timber logger for many years, an avid gun collector, gunsmith and musician, playing the guitar and banjo.  He had a passion for working with his hands, being outdoors and loved his family more than anything.   

Tommy is survived by his wife of 21 years, Linda Weeks Greene of the home; one daughter: Shelby Greene of Turkey; one son, Tommy John Greene of Roseboro; three stepdaughters: Brandi Wallace (Nick) of Clinton, Chelsea Brewington (Daniel) of Newton Grove, Amber Harrell (Dustin) of Salemburg; two brothers: Hubert Greene (Dorothy) of Roseboro; Larry Greene (Amee) of Erlanger, Kentucky; and ten grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters: Mary Francis Jones & Patricia Adams and two of his brothers: Clayton Greene and Marion “Dink” Greene; and a granddaughter, Addyson Edge.   

The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the Church Fellowship Hall, and other times at their home.
