Mr. Theodore Arnold "Teddy" Booth, Jr. 54 of 6040 Moseley Ave., passed away at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro Sunday, January 8th, 2017 with his family by his side.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Holly Grove Christian Church, 3940 Union School Rd., Clinton with Rev. Ken Eanes officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Born on May 19, 1962 in Wayne County, Teddy was the son of the late Theodore Arnold Booth, Sr. and Willa Warren Booth. He worked for many years at Sanmina and was a former Fire Chief with Taylors Bridge Fire Department and past President of the Sampson County Fireman’s Association. Most recently he was a Salesman with MES Fire. He was a well-known, well-liked, hardworking man and will be greatly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Teddy is survived by his wife of almost thirty-three years, Pamela Matthis Booth; his daughter, Kirsten Booth of the home; his son, Matthew Booth & wife, Andrea of Dunn; mother, Willa Warren Booth of Newton Grove; two grandsons, Warren Naylor and Mason Booth; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mr. Bruce & Beatrice McLamb of Clinton; brother-in-law, Ashley Matthis and fiancé, Fran Sandy of Clinton; brother-in-law Jeff Matthis & wife, Lori of San Antonio, Texas and several nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his “buddy” – his dog of 11 years, Kutter. He was a loving husband, father and Papa “T”.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, January 10, from 6-9 pm at Royal-Hall Funeral Home and other times at their home.
