Mr. Rhudon Butler, 87 of 471 Elbow Rd., passed away Friday, April 13, 2018 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday April 18 at 2:00pm at Holland’s Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church, 2069 Huntley School Rd., Roseboro with Rev. Billy Hall & Rev. Randy Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Zoar Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery, 740 Zoar Church Rd., Salemburg.
Born in 1930 in Sampson County, Rhudon was the son of the late Marion & Hosie Hollingsworth Butler and the widower of Mary Leatrice Holland Butler. Rhudon was a member of Holland’s Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church and was a retired farmer and painter.
He is survived by his two sons; Gary Butler and wife, Cynthia and Larry Butler and wife, Debbie both of Salemburg, a special niece Alidine Honeycutt and husband, Paul of Salemburg.
In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by his brother, Dannie Von Butler.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00pm in the Holland’s Church Life Center and other times at the home of his son, Larry Butler, 429 Elbow Rd. Salemburg, NC.
