Mrs. Mae Bowen Heath, 90 of 108 Country Club Circle passed away at her home Saturday August 27, 2016.

 

Funeral services will be held Monday August 29, at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church with Dr. Ray Ammons officiating. Burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery.

 

Born on October 22, 1925 in Pitt County, Mrs. Heath was the daughter of the late Edward and Maybelle Hemby Bowen. She was a member of First Baptist Church and a Sunday School Teacher. She was a retired School Teacher having taught at Corinth Holder High School, Wendell High School, Vaiden Whitely High School and Clinton High School for 33 Years. She was the widow of Roland Douglas Heath.

 

She is survived by a son, Jeff Heath and wife, Nancy of Clinton. Two grandchildren, Bo Heath and wife, Meagan of Raleigh. Will Heath and wife, Kaitlin of New York. One great granddaughter, Kinsley Mae Heath.

 

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Martha Lou Moye and Imogene Wood.

 

The family would like to express special thanks to Mrs. Heath wonderful caregivers: Suzanne Wood, Sandra Oates, Yvette Williams, Kim Matthews, Joy Zanikos, Margie White and the entire 3HC Staff.

 

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday in the Sanctuary at First Baptist Church, beginning at 1:00 PM, and other times at her home.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 408 College St., Clinton, NC 28328; or to one’s favorite charity.
