Mrs. Frances Burgess Peterson
April 3, 1930 ~ January 22, 2017 (age 86) 86 Years Old
Mrs. Frances Burgess Peterson, 86, of 1318 Union School Rd. Clinton, passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield.
Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 3:00 pm at Grandview Memorial Park with Rev. Raeford Carter, Jr. officiating.
Born in 1930 in Sampson County, Frances was the daughter to the late David James Burgess and Minnie Burgess Ezzell and widow to Mr. Lloyd Andrew Peterson. She was a homemaker all her life and a member of Union Grove Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn P. Batchelor and husband, Garry of Clinton; stepdaughter, Judy P. Edwards of Wilmington and her grandson, David Batchelor.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers: Ralph & David Burgess and sisters: Airlene Burgess Vann and Joyce Burgess Lane.
Visitation will be held immediately following the service at the cemetery.
