Mrs. Judy Carter Bennett, 74, of 86 Register Sutton Rd., passed away at Sampson Regional Medical Center on Saturday evening, October 15th 2016 with her family by her side.
A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday morning, October 18th at 11:00 AM at Grandview Memorial Park with Rev. Vernon Braswell officiating.
Born on September 12, 1942 in Sampson County, Judy was the daughter of the late Charles and Viola Harris Carter. She was an inspector with Hamilton Beach. She was a huge Elvis Presley fan, she loved to bake and cook, and was especially known for her homemade spaghetti and meatballs.
She is survived by her husband of 26 years, John Junior Bennett; two sons: Bobby Miller and wife, Virginia of Clinton and Dean Miller & wife, Maureen of Roseboro; and one stepson, David Bennett & wife, Sandy of Clinton. She was also blessed with three grandchildren, who she loved with all her heart: Lauren Miller, Eric Miller (Victoria) and Wesley Bennett (Kara) and one great-grandson, Frank Bennett.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bobby Miller, her sister, Jean McLeod and her three brothers: L.G. Carter, Baxter Carter and Rodney Carter.
A visitation for family and friends will be held at her home from 6-8 pm on Monday evening, October 17, 2016.
