Howard "RICKY" Dixon

Howard “Ricky” Dixon, 61, of 170 Lorraine Rd., Clinton, died peacefully at his home on Tuesday, July 18^th 2017 with his loving family by his side.

A Memorial Service for Ricky will be held on Saturday, July 22^nd 2017 at 11am at the Royal-Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. E.C. Mattocks officiating. 

Born on November 12, 1955 in Athens, Georgia, Ricky was the son to the late Deloris Duffel and Phillip Dixon, and his "daddy" Red Gautier.  He was a truck driver for Prestage Farms and a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church.  He also was an umpire/referee for many years all over Sampson County.  He loved motorcycles and fishing and enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Goodman of the home; his son, Ross Dixon of Clinton; his five daughters: Dana Dixon of Wilmington, Madison Dixon of Clinton, Ashton Goodman Harroll (Justin) of Dunn, Naomi Goodman of Clinton, Aron Goodman of Dunn; four sisters: Teresa Brown and Tammy Odum both of Clinton; Missy Dixon and April Dixon both of Anderson, South Carolina; and a brother, Junior Spell of Clinton. He was also blessed with five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. 

Family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home; and other times at his home or at 1002 Bradshaw Street, Clinton.
