Elton Douglas Fryar

Mr. Elton Douglas Fryar, 68, of 8835 Garland Hwy, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, June 9, 2017.  

A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at 3:00 pm at Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 863 Boney Mill Rd., Clinton,  with Rev. Ray Carter officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Born on May 28, 1949, Elton was the son of the late Pauline Hairr and James Allen Fryar. He was a Farm Manager for Pride of Sampson and a member of Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

Elton is survived by his wife, Doris Pope Fryar; his son, Douglas Allen Fryar; brother, Sherwood Fryar & wife, Pat;  sister, Margaret Batts & husband, Bobby; all of Clinton; and numerous nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly.  

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Elizabeth Blackburn and brother-in-law, Earl Blackburn.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 10, 2017 from 6-8 pm at Royal-Hall Funeral Home; and other times at the home of Sherwood and Pat Fryar, 50 Boney Mill Rd., Clinton.
