Mrs. Clara Mae Bland Hadden, 81 of 3073 Old Warsaw Rd. died at Sampson Regional Medical Center Saturday, January 7, 2017.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday January 11, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Mary’s Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. C. H. Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park.

Born in 1935 in Sampson County, Mrs. Hadden was the daughter of the late Charles Franklin and Mary Ella King Bland. She was a member of the Mary’s Chapel Baptist Church and a homemaker. She was the widow of Harry Hadden, Jr. and  was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Great great grandmother and enjoyed working in her yard.

She is survived by three daughters, Linda  Jones and Kelly  Preddy both of Clinton, Karen  Thompson of Roseboro. One son, Gary  Pate of Clinton. She is remembered with love by Rodney Talton of Angier and Terry Talton of Clinton. Two sisters, Sandra  Westbrook of Newton Grove and Connie Strickland of Columbus, Ohio. Three brothers, Charles Bland of San Antonio, Tex., Ralph Bland and Kenneth Bland both of Clinton. Eleven grandchildren, Fifteen great grandchildren and Seven great great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00 PM at the church or at the home of her daughter Kelly Preddy,  at 1915 Ozzie Rd. Clinton, NC.
